{christmas eve}

We spent the afternoon baking cookies for Santa and an age-old traditional wreath from corn flakes.
the tradition continues to live as each year we spend Christmas Eve at Julia and Darcy's home. We had a great dinner and then a little program, followed by the craziness of opening presents. The kids get to open gifts from the grandparents, Julia and Darcy get to open gifts from their children, cousins open gifts from their cousins, and the married couple do a white elephant exchange. The white elephants have to be GOOD gifts, not gag gifts. Despite all the arguing and fighting over the gifts, us adults have a great time and we always come away with great things. Sabe got the mini shop vac that he bought, and I got a huge box of fudge---CRAP! The kids had a blast.

{christmas 2009}

We were so excited to get a white Christmas this year. Even thought the 22 inches of snow made us have to cancel our big Christmas Party here at our home, it made a beautiful day on Christmas. We had lots of good food and just love being stuck inside listening to good music, baking, and watching a LOT of football.

I love taking pics of tiny little details in my home at Christmastime.
