You know, the thought happened to strike me yesterday that in just 8 years, I will be sending my sweet Jaxon off on a 2-year mission. Its already hard for me to think that I won't see his cute face for that period of time. I do know that it will be an experience that he, and our family, will cherish forever.
And then, I heard today that all LDS missionaries serving in Japan are safe and accounted for. How amazing is that? The Lord is truly protecting them--miracle.

I felt that same way about Tom, especially when he was ordained a Priest because I knew that in two years he would be ordained an elder. I like to think of a mission as being "God's Finishing School for Young Men!"
Good thought, Joyce. It is exciting to think that many girls go on missions, also. You may just have one of those, also, Jennifer.
