On Thanksgiving, we left California and traveled to Vegas, which took us most of the day due to crazy traffic. We got to the restaurant just in time to meet up with Mom & Dad and the Ekins. We ate at Fogo de Chao which was different from any other Thanksgiving meal I've had, but it was delicious and I didn't have to do any of the cooking or dish-washing. It might have to be a new tradition. Izzy started her 8th birthday on the beach, then sat 7 hours in the car, but ended up with a yummy dessert to be shared with one of her favorite cousins, Abby.
We walked around the Vegas strip for the rest of the night and tried covering our kids' eyes the best we could :)
Olivia loves baby Claire like she was hers :)
We made it after 7 hours in the car together--fun way to spend Turkey Day together

we stopped at Serendipty's for frozen hot chocolate

That was a Thanksgiving we will always remember for sure--new adventure outside of a traditional Thanksgiving meal! Thanks for thinking of Dad and me. I loved seeing the beautiful part of Vegas, especially the water display at Bellagio, AND most important to be with Izzy on her very special birthday.
